J.D. Memorial School is situated in the locality of New Kabirpur, Sonepat. It was established in April 2001 by the well known Surgeon Dr. RC Roy & and his Gynecologist wife in the memory of his mother Smt. Jaymanti Devi (Born 10-06- 1913 & Died 01-05-1980). The sprawling green lawns, the spacious classrooms and open environs offer an ambience which is conducive to intellectual pursuits and holistic development.
Empowering every student and building their understanding forms an integral part of the school system. It is planned to awaken an individual intellect from an early stage by focusing on reasoning skills, imagination, problem solving, decision making and internal reflection.
Scholars of different era and origins always differed on the objectives of education and each one of them had individual opinion and method of imparting education. Either, it was based on necessities or was for achieving a particular goal. Education imparted by Muni Vishwamitra to Dashrath’s son was based on the ethic values and was also to get protected while doing ritual rites. Dronacharya trained Pandavas and Kauravas to humiliate king Drupada and also to earn livelihood. Mahatma Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Muhammad preached mankind to give up violence, respect each other’s sentiments and live in peace and harmony. And finally words became mightier than swords.
Thus the vision of the school is actively based on;
- Psycho Motor Domain– that relates the coordination between mind and limbs.
- Cognitive Domain– the act of motivating the students towards reading, writing and learning.
- Affective Domain– to change the attitude of the students towards themselves, towards society and towards the nature.
